Application
Application example:Dip reagent for the fluorimetric determination of vicinal diols, glycosides and phenols.Solution A: Saturated solution of lead tetraacetate (~2%) (Fluka-No. 15370) in glacial acetic acidSolution B: 2′,7′-Dichlorofluorescein in ethanol (0.2-1%)Mix 5 mL solution A with 5 mL solution B and bring to 200 mL with toluene, just prior to using. Solution should be freshly prepared each time. Dipping time: 10 sec.
Other usage examples: determination of carbohydrates by fluorescence densitometry after TLC; determination of H2O2 by chemiluminescence; fluorescent additive used in indirect fluorimetric detection in OTC-HPLC
