Biological Activity:
Rutin, a flavonol glycoside found in many plants, including buckwheat;tobacco; forsythia; hydrangea; viola, etc. It has been used therapeutically to decrease capillary fragility. Rutin is the glycoside between the flavonol quercetin and the disaccharide rutinose. Rutin can be created by bonding a disaccharide onto the hydroxyl group of Quercetin. [1]
