(αR)-α-(Iodomethyl)-3,4-dimethoxy-benzenemethanol is used in the preparation of (R)-Isoprenaline, (R)-Norfluoxetine and (R)-Fluoxetine using stereoselective dihydroxylation method as key synthetic step.
