The possible neuroprotective effect of etomidate against streptozotocin-induced (STZ-induced) hyperglycaemia were investigated in the rat brain and spinal cord. Etomidate treatment demonstrated neuroprotective effect on the neuronal tissue against the diabetic oxidative damage
